Accomplished Design professional with extensive experience providing
process plant layout and mechanical design direction for all phases of major international mining, petrochemical, pharmaceutical and industrial plant projects.

Experienced at producing process plant layout designs for conceptual front-end layout through to detailed engineering, specializing in the use of 3D Computer Aided Design systems. Experience includes Mineral processing, Refinery layout, Oil processing facilities and bulk manufacturing plants in the United Kingdom, Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, and Canada.

  • Experience with both conceptual and detailed design phases.

  • Familiarity with relevant design codes (ASME B31.3).

Industrial Design

  • Consulting with client project engineers and technical management to determine plant specifications and specific design requirements.

  • Develop plant design criteria to establish process design requirements, operational and maintenance access routes, safe spacing of hazardous equipment, determine zones and space for major process and utility piping systems, electrical cable tray routes, crane access etc.

  • Creating conceptual plans and layout studies.

  • Presenting the design and layout virtual 3D model to client engineers and management for review, comment and final approval.

  • Create and analyze material quantity reports to establish project total cost.

3D CAD Modeling

  • Accurately create all types of 3D equipment models, structural support elements including stair and other access appurtenances to evaluate equipment function, virtual plant representation, appearance, safety, and to determine design practicability.
